• Bespoke Interior Transformation

    5th Jan 2011

Bespoke upholstery and coachwork are two things that we have not featured too prominently on this blog before, however they are definitely two very important facets of our work here at Ai. This 2003 Mercury Marauder of all vehicles recently arrived at our shop for some very extensive bespoke upholstery work, and we are quite proud of the final results. In this particular case, the client was looking for something a bit more refined compared to the standard run of the mill Mercury trim, which certainly leaves much to be desired. We were more than happy to work with the client in coming up with a variety of personalized touches that better suited their tastes. Please feel free to take a look at the pictures below.

  • Ferrari F430 Scuderia Pt. 2: Fire Suppression

    22nd Jun 2010

As we previously mentioned, the integration and installation of a fire suppression system was a major component of this build, along with the roll bar assembly. In this case, we chose a SPA Technique 4.0l Mechanical Firefighter System to handle the job. The fire suppression system consists of 6 nozzles, three fitted within the vehicle's cockpit, and three located in the engine bay. The entire system is manually operated via a pull cable, which is attached to a t-handle located in a specially fabricated pod within the cockpit. More details and pictures below.

  • Ferrari F430 Scuderia Pt. 1: Roll Bar

    17th Jun 2010

We were extremely pleased to be asked to be involved in the following project, and equally proud of the results…thought we’d share. We all know the F430 Scuderia is a very worthy track-oriented street car. In stock form the Scud lacks some basic on-track safety equipment, however. This particular example spends most of its time on-track, which led the client to approach us to design and fabricate some additional safety accessories. These included a bespoke roll bar, a set of 6-point racing harnesses, as well as an integrated fire suppression system.

For these particular clients, Ai offers a number of different bespoke options, all of which can be tailored to your individual needs.

  • Porsche Panamera Radar/Laser Package

    26th Mar 2010

PanameraOpenerWe were lucky enough to receive not one, but two brand new Porsche Panamera Turbos in the shop recently, both of which were set to receive our integrated radar/laser protection set up amongst various other items. Unfortunately, due to the specific type of glass used within the Panamera’s rear-view mirror, an in-mirror set up is not an option for this particular vehicle without losing functionality of the auto-dimming feature in the mirror, something both customers wished to retain. Instead, after careful consideration, Ai Technicians were able to design and fabricate a custom external pod solution to house the radar displays.
